It's been a wild year!

Hi everyone!

It has been one crazy and wild year for sure. I haven't had a single minute to myself to write in my blog, add to my website, or sit and actually breathe for two seconds and just look at the world around me.

I would love to thank each and every client of mine that has made this year a special one for me. Without them I could not have made it through all the personal struggles that my family has endured. I greatly appreciate EVERY person that has prayed for my daughter thru her time of illness and hospitalizations. It has made us all much stronger and helped her through some tough times. Even though there were some crazy doctor schedules, and my travels to Lubbock with her in the hospital at Texas Tech twice, and UTSouthwestern, among other hospitals and the other 9 specialists she sees and my husband being taking by ambulance to the hospital for emergency neurosurgery, I never missed a shoot, a wedding, a baby being born, a senior session, really nothing and for that God truly blessed me. Thank you to EVERYONE for all your understanding and compassion through our rough times. I do know it took longer for some to get your pictures at times, but it was well worth the wait and I appreciated those extra winks of sleep I was able to get.

The New Year we are going into of 2012 promises a brighter future, better health for ALL family members and quicker return times on pictures...YEAH :) I am so excited to see what this new year brings and so excited for all the new brides and grooms and new seniors and families I have to work with.

MAY ALL OF YOU HAVE A BLESSED AND HEALTHY 2012 WITH MANY OFFERINGS OF JOY AND HAPPINESS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Let God guide you on your journey and keep smiling every step of the way.
You never know when I will be snapping that camera and we always want a pretty smile :)

Bridals Susan Davidson

Well besides her having he same name as me (Susan) she is just a sweetheart. Susan has a vintage look about her that reminded me of the early 40's and I couldn't help but edit her bridals just that way. She has such excitement when she talks about her wedding and can't wait for the day Joe returns home from service for their wedding. Then it is off to wherever the US sends him. May God keep him safe until he returns home to his wife-to-be, Susan. I personally can't wait to do their wedding. They are such a fun couple. April 17th will be here before you know it. Best of luck to both of them.

TEXAS and its whacky weather!

Okay is it just me or is Texas the only state that offers all four seasons in one week. My goodness...3 days ago it was snowing and freezing cold, today it was 75 degrees and tomorrow it will be severe storms with hail and the works. Thanks Texas for making my photo shoots an unknown adventure every single time! I will be posting many new things in the coming week. New bridals, news seniors, and a new thing for me...a Day After Shoot with Joshua and Mandy Brionnes. Stay tuned for fun and excitement! Have a great day!

I apologize for not getting things on here as of late. It has been a really busy season of bridals, engagements and maternity sessions. I have also been trying to build a new flash site and get my PICTAGE proofing site rolling. Things are looking up in 2010. Just wait until you see what is happening all around us.

Erin and Chad Wedding

OH I cant' even begin to say how much fun this wedding was. It started out with a few bumps in the road! The rain, rain, rain messed up where the wedding was to take place, it was way colder than anyone expected it to be, and I really had NO WHERE to shoot this wedding except through glass from the reception area. So, with that said, I think this wedding was a blast and turned out great. Erin and Chad were sooooooo much fun and so in love!

Kristie and Matt are a great couple. Kristie is a young lady I met through her developing my pictures via a local vendor a few years back. It was such a compliment for her to call me after all these years to do her engagements, bridals and wedding pictures. Here is a sneak peek of her engagements.

Joshua and Mandy are definitely an adventure waiting to happen! They are such a fun couple and I enjoyed doing this shoot in Dallas and at the Arboretum. Searching for a skyline shoot was ...shall I say, and EXCITING TIME! I am not a good backseat driver! Needless to say it was well worth it and we had a blast. Thanks Joshua and Mandy

OK, I rarely get to capture my son and his girlfriend in pictures. He NEVER has the time, but finally I got a good few minutes with both of them and one of our dogs. They turned out great! They are both just gorgeous people! I LOVE THEM!

EMMA LAKE SHOOT

A few weekends ago, it was kinda hot outside and Emma was totally NOT in the mood for a shoot. I believe it was 105 degees outside that day. I loved her dress and since she was already dressed from church that day, I wanted to capture her look. We did thsi shoot in 7 minutes REALLY 7 minutes. She didn't appreciate all the guys fishing gawking at her. Anyway, here she is in a flash!

Emma Sneak Peak Senior Pics

What can I say, Emma is such a funny and beautiful girl! She makes herself laugh on a whim and her personality shines through. She has been this way since she was born. I should know...she is my wonderful daughter. This was just a fun shoot, the real serious senior pics will be later when it cools off a little. She edited these herself and is very proud of it. :o) I love her so much!

Jhuky and Robert Engagemnet

Jhuky and Robert were such a fun couple. I found their playful style such a refreshing and inspiring time. We explored Deep Ellum in Dallas and a little of Grapevineold town as well. It was so hot, but they were wonderful and remained excited the entire time.

Erin Bridals - Arboretum

Two weeks ago Erin, her sisters, her mom and I did her bridals at the Dallas Arboretum. Oh my goodness was it a very hot day!! OVER 101 degrees Truly that can't even describe the amount of heat the beautiful bride-to-be endured. She was such a trooper as well as her family! She is absoutlely gorgeous and I think these pictures give a sneak peek as to just how lovely she will be on her wedding day in October. Can't wait!

This is a neighbor of mine whose children I have been taking pictures of since they were born. This shoot was a surprise fathers day gift to her husband. It was a definite challenge as the older girl was not cooperating. It was quite an adventure, but proud to say we got some good pics from it
